Growing for 600 years

OUR ENSEMBLE IS UNIQUE

The ensemble of the Brauereigasthof Hotel Aying is imbued with the flair of a special place in which the tradition of warm personal hospitality has already been cultivated for a long time. Here, in the immediate proximity of the regional capital Munich, one can still experience something that has almost disappeared nowadays: Real Bavarian tradition and hospitality.

Upon arriving here, one is greeted by one of the best and most modern breweries in Europe. The Ayinger Private Brewery. Passing old farmhouses, the road leads on into the village centre of Aying. One can already feel the village here, a village that one can hardly believe still exists in the present day. The old Brauereigasthof stands at a right angle, looking large and imposing. In front of the building stands one of the highest maypoles in Bavaria, right next to the old parsonage and the church with the big onion-domed spire. In Aying, one can still take part in the real Bavarian life that existed before, without having to do without modern comforts.

Take a walk through our unique ensemble with our 360-Degrees-Tour.

You too can discover the special attitude to life that has been passed down to us from the time under Luitpold, Prince Regent of Bavaria (1821-1912).

The former family house

MANOR HOUSE

The former home of the family, here lie the roots of the tradition of hospitality. There has been a tavern at this location since 1385. It was previously owned by the Bernried Monastery at Starnberger See. And the atmosphere is truly cloistered, venerable and sophisticated in this listed building, which houses a library, 14 hotel rooms, a farm kitchen with adjoining, wood-panelled tavern and a conference room.

AUGUST UND MARIA

The restaurant in the Brauereigasthof was named after its builders, August and Maria Zehentmair. Cosy and civilised, everything here – the beautifully laid tables, the candles, the flowers, the careful details – promises dining in a special atmosphere. When the weather is fine, it can be enjoyed in the enchanting tavern garden.

AYINGER BREWERY SNUGGERY

This picturesque tavern is located directly at the village square. A beer garden with old chestnut trees, tables with chequered tablecloths, people sitting next to each other and having a good chat over a delicious glass of beer and home cooking with fresh pretzels. Inside there is a long copper counter, solid arched ceilings, brightly polished wooden tables, cosy benches – the epitome of Bavarian tavern culture.

HISTORIC ALPINE TROADKASTEN

At the end of a little stream in the beer garden stands the historical granary, witness to the long tradition of an old Bavarian property. Carefully carried away to the neighbouring village of Peiß a long time ago and rebuilt true to the original, this log building with a cabin atmosphere is already a popular venue for special occasions.

HISTORIC SKITTLE ALLEY

Another jewel from bygone days. A bowling alley in which the skittles are set up like they used to be, by hand by the lads from the village. It was built way back in 1886 and was originally an open gazebo alley in the old beer garden. Now it is available for celebrations and events.

AYINGER PRIVATE BREWERY

Our Ayinger Private Brewery is founded upon a special tradition, formed by its roots in our home region, which reach back many centuries. For example, the quality of our beers, which has received many awards, is based on the purely local ingredients from Aying and the surrounding area, the time-honoured craftsmanship of our brewers and consistent quality consciousness. These are the values and the attitude with which we have been brewing our beer since 1878 and will continue to brew it.
