It is the emblem of the Chiemgau Alps, the 1669-meter high Kampenwand with its characteristic, three-toothed craggy backdrop. Immerse yourself in the fascinating alpine word, discover the impressive Alpine flora and fauna and be entranced by dreamy views over the Alpine Uplands and the Chiemsee and a sensational view to the mighty Central Alps.
If you want to take it a bit easier, take the cable car to the mountain station, the starting point for an extensive network of hiking trails at a dizzy height. From the almost flat panoramic trail to sprawling routes – there is the right hike for everyone here. But climbing fans, mountain bikers and paragliders will also find a variety of sporting challenges here.
OUR TIP
The Kampenwand is also a paradise in the winter. Hike through the wintery Alpine landscape, glide with skis or snowboard over the maintained natural snow pistes or hurtle down the 60-meter-long snowtubing track – fun for all the family.
